The iconic Hummer has been on hiatus, but it’s coming back as a zero-emissions electric vehicle. Many truck fanatics are excitedly awaiting the arrival of the new SUV, expected in Fall 2021. Gradually, GMC has been releasing more details about the upcoming Hummer EV, and the latest is great news for fans of the outdoors: removable roof panels.
GMC teased the Hummer EV open-air design with a short clip that pans a clear, starry sky beyond the Hummer’s open frame. This means that the upcoming Hummer EV will be a compelling alternative to Jeep models for those who like to add the element of fresh air to their off-roading experiences.
In order to enjoy the open-air experience, drivers need only remove the four roof panels and a front T-bar. Removal is easy enough for one person to handle, so you can enjoy your open air experience in private or with company.
According to GMC, the new 2022 Hummer EV will have the capability to go from 0-60 mph in just 3 seconds. Even with its zero-emissions engine, the Hummer EV will deliver a massive performance, boasting as much as 1,000 horsepower and up to 11,500 lb-ft of torque.
The Hummer EV’s open-air design gives it a truly distinguished look. Stay tuned to Finley Buick GMC for more information about the Hummer as it becomes available!
