If you miss going to the theaters and wish there was a drive-in open nearby, you can make your own at home. With a digital projector and a sheet, you can make your own theater at home. Then all you’ll need to do is pick the movie, pop some popcorn, and slide into your Buick Encore GX or GMC Acadia with someone special to enjoy the show together.
Camp out in the living room
February Wisconsin weather doesn’t make camping out under the stars the most appealing prospect. But you can still enjoy a campout-style experience from the comfort of your home. Put together a makeshift tent in the living room, roast some s’mores in the kitchen, and fire up the fireplace for some ghost stories and a memorable night.
Prepare a meal together
There’s something magical about teaming up with your partner in the kitchen to create a beautiful meal. Find a recipe that you both love or have always wanted to try, gather up the right ingredients, and make it a team effort in turning your kitchen into a five-star restaurant.

The Driftless Area includes forests and farmland with some stunning limestone bluffs and river land.
Sawyer County encompasses Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and is a great place to see fall color.
Wisconsin’s Great River Road follows the Mississippi for about 250 miles. There is plenty here for history buffs, too.

There is still plenty of time to put the kids in the car and head out for some fun in the snow. Beloit offers lots of spots for sledding, ice skating, cross country skiing and snow shoeing on less than a tank of gas.
Load up the sleds and head for the hills. Pack a thermos of hot chocolate and some cookies and fruit for easy snacks after you and the kids are done sledding.
Hospital Hill is located in Krueger Park on Olympian Boulevard in Beloit. It offers many trails from easy slopes to a very challenging run through the trees.
Leeson Park is along Milwaukee Road and Leeson Drive. It is a wooded area with recreational trails and the sledding here is much gentler than Hospital Hill. It’s a great place to take little ones for an afternoon of fun.
The Edwards Ice Arena offers public skating and rentals and is the home of the Beloit Youth Hockey Association, Rock County Fury Girls Hockey Team and Beloit Memorial High School Hockey Team.
Skiing and Snow Shoeing
The entrance to Big Hill Park is on Big Hill and Afton roads. The park offers groomed cross country trails and used to be the site of a ski jumping contest. The Turtle Creek Greenway Trail also offers skiing and snow shoeing.
